What's Actually Included at The Broz, and What Isn't

Most venue tours end the same way. You love the building, you ask what it costs, and you get a number that turns out not to be the number. Then the chairs are extra. Then setup is extra. Then there is a cleaning fee nobody mentioned.

We would rather tell you now.

What comes with every rental

Every wedding at The Broz includes all of this, at no additional charge:

  • Tables and wood Chiavari chairs. Not folding chairs you upgrade from. The Chiavaris are what you get.

  • LED lighting throughout the space.

  • A bartender. A professional one, working your bar all night.

  • A dedicated event coordinator. Someone who knows the building and is there on your day.

  • Two getting-ready suites, one for each side of the wedding party.

  • A custom bar.

  • Patio access.

  • Liability insurance. A real line item at many venues, and one couples forget to budget for.

  • Full setup, teardown and cleaning. Nobody in your family is stacking chairs at midnight.

That list is the whole list. There is no tier where the chairs get nicer.

What the building gives you that a rental list can't

The Broz was built in 1898 and designed by Cass Gilbert, the architect who went on to design the Minnesota State Capitol. The pressed tin ceilings are original. So is the stained glass and the hardwood.

The Grand Ballroom seats 300 for dinner. The Brick X Lounge and the Prohibition-era Speakeasy stay open all night, which means your guests are not all sitting in one room from six o'clock onward. Outside, the lawn holds a ceremony for 300 and the upper deck holds 175.

Upstairs, Hotel Broz has eight boutique rooms. Your wedding party does not drive anywhere.

What costs extra, said plainly

  • Catering. Hostiva Catering is our exclusive caterer. Packages start at $25 per plate and include linen napkins, tablecloths, china dinner plates, stainless steel cutlery and coordinated buffet linens.

  • The ceremony. There is a $1,000 ceremony fee, and it covers a full room changeover and setup by our team.

  • Bar. All drinks run through our full-service bar, including mocktails, non-alcoholic options and THC beverages.

  • Hotel rooms, booked separately.

Why we do it this way

A venue that hides its fees is making a bet that you will be too far along to walk away by the time you find them. We would rather you compare us honestly against everywhere else you are looking, with the real number in hand.

Rental rates start at $3,000 for a Sunday in our off-peak season. Come see it, and we'll write you a quote that covers every dollar before you leave.
